Brooklyn Townhouse

Cobble Hill

In Brooklyn’s Carroll Gardens, a crumbling 19th-century Italianate brownstone has been reborn as a riotous, high-gloss fantasia. The interiors are layered in florals, fringe, gilt bronze, and Mylar, crafting an unabashedly maximalist interior that revels in eccentricity and personal expression. Traditional moldings and architectural details were preserved where possible, then paired with audacious gestures—like a primary bathroom that doubles as a sitting room, and a tiger-patterned media den that channels a glam, high-drama energy. The layout itself bucks convention, with the kitchen and dining room at the front of the house and the living room at the rear, reinforcing the home’s idiosyncratic rhythm. Throughout, the palette is bold, the textures lush, and the atmosphere wholly individual. It’s a deeply lived-in, joyfully unconventional family home.
