Randolph
Monterey Hills
In Monterey Hills, the Randolph residence is a primitive modern cabin we designed for an artist couple. This ground-up construction, which is an addition to a pre-existing 1920s ranch-style house, features an elemental aesthetic. We used basic materials such as plywood, concrete, stucco, and copper, instilling a sense of clarity and connection with the property's rugged landscape and the clients' impressive cactus garden. The minimalist furniture complements the earthy materials, allowing the home to blend with its natural surroundings.
